Gianni Borta was born in Udine, Italy where he now lives at 43, via Don Bosco

He is acknowledged by the critics as one of the most important and expressive painters of the new generation and for some years his work has been a standard for the valuation of paintings.
He has taken part in 850 exhibitions in Italy and other countries, and has been awarded 220 national and international prizes.
He has held personal exhibitions in major world cities including Milan, Genoa, Rome, Bologna, Venice, Verona, Trieste, Turin, Brussels, New York, London, Paris, Caracas, Munich, Grenoble, Lyons, Amsterdam, Basle, Solingen, Prague, Istanbul, Vienna etc…
His works (flower oil painting) have also been on display at the most prestigious world art fairs: Biennials, the Trivenete, the Quadriennale Nazionale in Rome, the Suzzara, the Bologna Arte-Fiera, the Expo Levante in Bari, the 1979 Basel Kunstmesse, the Washington Wash-Art-Fair, and the 15th International Biennial of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana, Tüyap Istanbul Art Fair, Mak-Kunst Wien 96 Biennale Für Graphische.
In the international arena he has participated in exhibitions in Austria, Yugoslavia, Germany, England, France, America, Switzerland, Australia, Belgium, Venezuela, Argentina, the Netherlands (Holland), Hungary, Czech, Republic Turkey.
His floral oil paintings are to be seen in museums and national institutions, and they have formed the subject of a number of radio and television programs.
As well as his fame as a painter he is also well known as a graphic designer and illustrator of books, magazines and posters.
Since 1977, he has been a member of the national secretariat of the Italian Federation of Artists. His work is on record in the archives of the Venice Biennale and those of Twentieth Century Italian Art at the Institute for the History of Art, Florence.

Gianni Borta é nato e vive a Udine con studio in Piazzale Chiavris 21 e a Milano in Via Mascheroni. É considerato un protagonista di quella che é ormai conosciuta come arte naturalistica; per i temi trattati e i risultati conseguiti, comincia ad essere visto come un caposcuola. Espone dal 1961.
Ha partecipato a 850 esposizioni in Italia ed all’Estero conseguendo 220 affermazioni tra premi nazionali ed internazionali.
